Where to eat in the south of Tenerife

If you are in the south of Tenerife, you can find restaurants with cuisine from all over the world: From Italian to French, Chinese, Thai, Venezuelan, Mexican or Russian, among many others. And if you consider yourself one of those who love to eat well, you will be amazed by the traditional Canarian cuisine because its highly varied. If not don’t worry, there are also a lot of fast food restaurants like McDonald’s, Burger King etc, almost everywhere 🙂

Previously, we mentioned in another article a few restaurants in the north of Tenerife. Now, we want to show you some of the best and more popular places to eat in the south of the island.

Recommended restaurants in the south of Tenerife

  • Otelo2: This restaurant is located in Costa Adeje (between Playa de Fañabé and Playa de Torviscas), where you can taste Canarian dishes such as papas arrugadas, rabbit in salmorejo sauce and their very popular pollo al ajillo (garlic marinated chicken). Their first restaurant is also in Adeje, but located near Barranco del Infierno (Gorge of Hell).

  • Tasca el Granero: In the town of Adeje (the less touristic area of the city), this place is known for its calm atmosphere and its delicious food. Here you can enjoy not only Spanish cuisine, but also French and Mediterranean dishes too.
  • Gourmetland La Martina: If you like to eat Argentinean meet, you must visit this place in Playa de las Americas. This restaurant is located in the shopping center Safari (part of the famous Golden Mile area). It is without a doubt the best restaurant which serves steaks and fine Argentinean beef.

  • El Refugio: Local pizzeria in Puertito de Güimar, one of the most veteran ones on the island. As a result, you will find a wide selection in their menu and, besides pizza, you can also eat here salads, meats and desserts. Very friendly service and good prices.
